THE EVENTS OF OCTOBER: a Reading & Discussion by Gail Griffin
Thursday, October 7 6:30-8:00 pm

On a Sunday night during homecoming weekend in 1999, Neenef Odah lured his ex-girlfriend, Maggie Wardle, to his dorm room at Kalamazoo College and killed her at close range with a shotgun before killing himself. Griffin attempts to answer how could this happen to two seemingly normal students on such a close-knit campus.

Gail Griffin is the award winning author of three volumes of nonfiction. She currently teaches writing, literature, and women’s studies at Kalamazoo College. A reception and book signing will follow the reading. Books will be available to purchase. No registration is required for this free event.
