Summer Reading Programs for all!

June 4th – August 11th. All ages are invited to join the Summer Reading Program at the Portage District Library! Participants earn prizes for reading books of their choice throughout the summer! The PDL summer reading clubs are generously sponsored by the Friends of the Portage District Library.

ANNUAL SUMMER READING KICK-OFF PARTY!
Friday, June 11, 2010, 7:00 PM. Summer is finally here and we can’t wait to celebrate and share all the fun things we have planned. To kick it off right we are throwing a party! Join us at the Portage Celery Flats Historical Area for fun and entertainment. When it is dark, we will turn off all the lights and show a late-night movie outdoors on the big screen. See scheduled performance times below. Bring your blankets, sleeping bags and bug spray, concessions are available for purchase. This is a family program.

Schedule:

7:15-8:15 Storytime & movie appropriate for the early bed timers (2 years-6 years). Location: The Hayloft Theatre (big red barn on the hill)

8:45-9:30 Splashtacular Magic & Fun! with magician Jeff Wawrzaszek. Location: The Amphitheater.

9:45 (dusk)Movie in the park. Location: Large grassy area in front of the Grain Elevator.
