New Collection: Ready Reads

Right in the middle of the Adult Services main area is a brand new resource we want you to see. It’s our new “Ready Reads” collection and we’re very excited to tell you about it. This wonderful collection of high interest, easier-to-read books will offer great reading choices for adults who are beginning readers or those who may have special needs or are learning English as their second language. This special high interest low reading level collection will include fiction (celebrities, mysteries, etc.) and general non-fiction topics like animals, photography, travel, vehicles and more. Thanks to a grant from Kalamazoo Community Foundation’s John E. Fetzer Institute Fund, and a donation from the Friends of the Portage District Library, we are able to launch this new special collection and will continue to add more books over time.
