Homebound Services at Portage District Library
Is there someone in your circle of friends or a family member who loves to read but can no longer visit the library due to physical limitations? Illness? Did they give up their driver’s license? Are they elderly?
Portage District Library can be of help. Residents of the City of Portage or the Portage School District, and Non-resident Memberships, are eligible to register for our Homebound Services.
The Homebound Service lets you or someone you care about enjoy the collections of the library without having to visit the library building. Whether it is books or magazines to read or audiovisual items to view or listen to, the library will arrange to have materials picked up at the convenience of the of the Homebound Patron’s designated contact person.
Applications are available at the library, or they can be mailed to you upon request. We have a simple online request form that will result in the actual application being mailed to you. Please return all completed applications to: Homebound Services, Portage District Library, 300 Library Lane, Portage, Michigan, 49002.
