Friends of PDL make generous donation to the library!
The Friends of the Portage District Library have just made a very generous donation of $11,000 to the library to fund several items on the library’s “Wish List.” Their wonderful gift will enable the library to purchase a new coffee vending solution for the public ($2,000); to increase the number of juvenile mystery books in the Youth collection ($1,000); to purchase an Overdrive Download Station – software that enables user to download & transfer audio books & music to compatible devices ($3,000); and to purchase replacement laptops for the library’s mobile computer lab ($5,000). Purchase of these service enhancing items would not have been possible without the Friends’ donation, and their support is very much appreciated by the library and all the people who will benefit from their generosity.
